Notable Community Participation          
Capacity - Building Component          
Capacity enhancement in project formulation using a logical framework, obtaining community participation in a species conservation project that deals with human/animal conflict in an urban setting.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods          
A plastic recycling initiative will be established and workshops will be conducted to teach participants on how to clean and cut plastic bags to make yarn balls, and crochet various products, such as bags, totes, etc. The products will be sold on the SCAR website and at other local venues. Funds collected from the sale of individual products will be given to the person who created that product.
Gender Focus          
The grantee is not gender biased and workshops are open to anyone interested in participating.
Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples          
There are no indigenous people in this project.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment          
SCAR has a strong social media presence and will continue using platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to promote the project work. SCAR will also showcase the activities on project and the SCAR websites and blogs.
